The moment the judge asks if the defendant considers himself guilty or innocent, Miguel Torres, is suddenly set to a whirlwind of memories that begin in his childhood, precisely at the age of eight, when first he was asked the same question, and end in the moment and circumstance where it is now, almost forty years later. It's the movie of his life that he revisits in seconds in his memory, but that only lasts 1 hour in the narrative. The childhood conflicts, running away from home, his youth as a humble birth student in college and after as sailor, his impossible romances and love destroyed, his performance as a corrupt civil constructor… his son's death. All is summoned to a personal "settling of accounts", sometimes amusing, ironic and bitter.
